Who is Angie Stone?

The guest on the show has different roles but don’t be confused that she is a singer. She began her career as a dental technician in US Navy, she then became a dental assistant & obtained her associate degree in dental hygiene, and then she earned her baccalaureate of science degree in psychology.  

She is also a brain longevity specialist, she is a certified dementia practitioner.

What forces Angie stone to become an expert on Alzheimer’s disease?

She was afraid while walking alongside her father with his Alzheimer’s disease. Angie has also discovered she is perfectly poised to become the next generation to endure this horrendous, life-stealing ailment.

She started to explore the way to stop this cycle, she explored that brain health needs to be maintained to break this cycle. This gives her the courage to become an Alzheimer’s disease expert.

What is Alzheimer’s disease?

Alzheimer’s disease is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks. Alzheimer’s is a disease that causes eighty percent of dementia in the world.

 What’s the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia?

We all think dementia & Alzheimer’s are the same disease but in reality, Dementia is a generalized term, Dementia is an umbrella under which many other diseases fall like Lewy body dementia, frontal temporal lobe dementia, and Alzheimer’s disease.

In dementia people usually don’t remember anything, they repeat themselves, they can’t balance their checkbooks, and They forgot their route of journey. 

Alzheimer’s disease is a specific brain disease; Alzheimer’s disease first affects the part of the brain associated with learning, so early symptoms often include changes in memory, thinking, and reasoning skills.

Angie doesn’t like the commercials showing backward message; The message should be something about the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.

It’s better to evaluate yourself earlier expected in your twenties because everything is connected with your brain, Suppose your heart is functioning well but the brain is not functioning well, then what can you do with a good heart.

What suggestion did Dr. Shalom Samuel share with her patients to trick their brain?

Dr. Shalom always tells her patients to try something different each week to engage both sides of their brain.

Let’s suppose if you are doing brush with your right hand; just try your left hand the other week.

 When is the correct time to screen for Alzheimer’s disease?

Angie Stone says; We don’t see any signs or symptoms of Alzheimer’s until twenty or thirty years after things have been changing.

 It is difficult to tackle patients with Alzheimer’s when they get sixty or above. It is different to train your brain when you get older.
